The REV-X reverb algorithm and high-standard 24-bit, 96k-Hz audio processing capabilities bring new color dimensions to SPX sound. SPX2000 is a new generation of comprehensive effects, ideal peripherals for Yamaha's DM series digital production consoles, and suitable for all uses from the field to the recording studio.
The core hardware of SPX2000 is a 96-kHz DSP LSI with 32-bit built-in processing capability (58-bit accumulator), which can provide powerful calculation capability support for the algorithm of the effector. 24-bit, 128 oversampling AD and DA converters produce a dynamic range of 106 dB and a flat frequency response (20 Hz to 40 kHz at 96-kHz sampling rate).
The SPX2000 memory is divided into three libraries: "PRESET", "CLASSIC", and "USER". PRESET contains 97 effects programs, including 17 with Yamaha's award-winning REV-X reverb algorithm. The REV-X reverb effect provides rich reverberation and smooth attenuation. There are separate REV-X HALL, REV-X ROOM and REV-X PLATE algorithms. The SPX2000 is designed to maintain operability and stability under all conditions. The sturdy all-aluminum panel features 2 sets of intuitive horizontal keys for searching and editing.
